Just noticed guys that tonight, the Speeds on my 70/15 megabit plan just jumped to 30 Mbps from its usual 15 MBps, Was wondering if anyone else noticed anything changing.

And I'm in the Fredericton area.

Now according to http://speedtest.bellaliant.net:

Last Result:
Download Speed: 71236 kbps (8904.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 29244 kbps (3655.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 6 ms
Jitter: 0 ms
Packet Loss: 0%

^is my speed result, but my friend who has the 25/5 megabit plan , is now getting: 25.83 down/10.17 up.

Just was curious what my fellow FibreOP users are getting :)

Mine's still 25/5:

Download Speed: 25656 kbps (3207 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 5271 kbps (658.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 5 ms
Jitter: 6 ms
Packet Loss: 0%

I'm in central Riverview and had Fiberop installed at the end of January.

I just tried Speedtest.net's /Choopa ,(Newark,NJ) speed test site and received the following results:

I'm not sure if anyone ever brought up this question before, but why is it when I'm on FibreOP, and my isp is Bell Aliant it says my isp is UNB , before when I was on 25/5 and ran test's It would always say Bell Aliant Regional.

Anyways as you can see I'm definitely able to meet my download speed via certain speed test sites, just a few of them aren't giving me my upload speed as it compares to Aliants' Internal site:

Ever since i made this thread I haven't noticed my speeds fluctuating much, my upstream has always stayed between 30-31 Megabits per Second.

Just seems kind of strange only select people are getting the upgrade or glitch, after speaking with someone who works at Bell Aliant they did inform me of an Upload increase being expected but he didn't think it was for months off.

It thinks my ISP is "Stentor National Integrated" or something like that. Speedtest can be weird sometimes. :)

As for the flucating numbers, it depends on the server you're hitting, and a lot of other stuff. I tend to use the Montreal one as it seems the mos consistent for us.

Still getting between 5-10mbps for upload here in Dieppe. Any idea if Dieppe is included in this upgrade right away? (i know it says Moncton but you never know :p )

Update: on the official Aliant speedtest i did get 30mbps on the upload. are there any external sites that can test this fast as well? (speedtest.net and testmy.net both give around 10mbps for upload)
