So I'm looking at Fibe TV and I had a quick question about the modem provided for the internet portion.

It is just a modem or is it actually a router? I have my own router and do not wish to change. Can I still use my own router?

Its a modem/router wireless N ( cellpipe 7130 )

Your Router

You could use your router for the Internet only although I would recommend you just use it as a wireless access point.

You need to use the Cellpipe modem they provide you, and i suggest that it be used to manage the 2 PPPoE connections.

This DSL modem is one of few that allows having 2 IP's - one of video, the other for internet.

If you add a second wireless router into the mix, you need to ensure that Multicast filtering is properly set, or else it will eat the packets destined for the Bell STB(s), and typically will encounter video loss. I think you just need to disable multicast filtering, but it may be the other way around depending on how the setting is worded in the router GUI.

Awesome, thanks for the info! I've got Apple's Airport Extreme which I just bought so I really don't want to replace it right now. Doing some searching it sounds like people are successfully running it inline with the Bell modem.

Routers can be daisy chained. Just be aware that it can make troubleshooting problems more difficult. FibeTV equipment should be plugged directly into the Bell modem/router.
