Also considering switch when available.

When you cancel Bell satellite service, I would be interested in hearing what grief they give you about terminating the service and if the service is terminated immediately or if you have to pay to your next billing date.

Recording 4 HD channels at once

During baseball season, I am currently recording up to 4 HD channels on my current setup. I understand that with Fibe TV you can only record 2 HD channels at one time. IF I record 2 HD channels and 2 SD channels at one time how good is the 2 SD channel quality?

I moved from Fibre 12 internet to Fibre 25 and was charged the $99 dollars for the new modem. I was told it was Fibre TV ready. Infact it has appears to have connection and an indicator on it for Fibre TV. It is a Connection Hub.

I have 4 separate questions:

1. I have read that the number of streams can impact your internet speed. If you are watching a pre-recorded program is this considered a stream which will impact internet speed?

2. I understand that the max. recording at one time is 2 HD and 2 SD stations. If you have 4 TVs and the appropriate number of TV boxes can you be recording 4 programs and watching 4 pre-recored shows at the same time?

3. Can you start watching from the start a program which is still recording?

4. We frequently record baseball games. On Expressview I can extent the recording time up to 90 minutes. Is this possible on Fibre TV?

I have been considering Fibre TV as well and currently have Bell Sat. The more I look at Fibre TV the less I think it will work for me. I have Fibre 25 as well. We never seem to lose satellite reception for long and this seldom happens. At this point I think I would only move to Fibre TV if they removed data caps for the internet. I am using the internet for almost everything now. If I can convince my wife, I might cancel Bell satellite and not have any TV other than off air.

Bell Sat to Bell Fibe

Is it worth it? Probably depends on what your current set up is and viewing habits. I had 3 PVRs on Sat. and because we didn't know which TV we would be watching a recorded show on, I had to set up the recordings on all three. Now with Bell Fibe I only have to do it once. There is the limitation of only being able to watch and or record 3 HD channels at once. This hasn't been a problem for me. I record everything we watch or at least 99 %. I don't have the Western feeds but if you subscribed to these it should cover off any conflicts. On Sat, when I had conflicts, it was very time consuming trying to organized what shows to record. Bell Fibe makes it very easy to resolve any conflicts. Some people have said that the guide isn't very good. I haven't found that to be a problem. It is just as good and I think better than Sat. I don't think there is any difference in the actual picture quality between the two. I very seldom lost the picture on Sat. because of storms (rain or snow). The main thing I miss from Sat. is Call Display isn't available on Fibe,

I have Bell Fibe TV & internet with 15/10 and haven't had any problem. I stream Netflix, MLB and podcasts to 2 Apple TVs at the same time. I have 2 IPads and IPhone that are frequently connected at the same time. The new Bell APp for Bell TV works well over WIFI. Have set up an additional WIFI source other than the one supplied by Bell which is located in the basement. I also use an Xbox while my wife is using WIFI and watching TV.

No slow down

I have Fibe TV and Internet and don't experience any slow down when two
tv running and watching and recording 3 HD programs at once and watching a recorded TV show as well.

I frequently have Netflix running on one or more TVs with HD movie with no problems.
