Sorry to intrude. I have a question. My house has the old cable which is not suitable for HDTV. Rogers had to run a new cable on the outside of the house into my bedroom where my HDTV is. If I switch to FibeTV, will Bell install new cables for me, free or will I be charged? TIA

I have cable in every room on 2 floors and basement. Bable comes into basement, and they are really old. What will they do? Drill through floors or drill outside of the house?

My discount contract with Rogers is up, and I need to look at Bell Fibe, Better Bundle. $173/month, 25 mbps down. I have 2 questions. Is download speed fixed at 25 mbps even if I am not watching tv or using the phone? I do not watch much tv, mostly news channels. If I take the Good Bundle for $117/month, will I be able to upgrade the internet speed to 25 mbps? Also, how many wireless tv's (receiver box) are included?

@tvlurker: Thanks. Would I be able to just add those missing news channels such as CNN, BNN?
@nitra: soory, I did not realize my PM is blocked. I have now unblocked it.

Thanks for all the help to understand Bell Fibe. I was offered by my Robber a deal that I cannot refuse, so another 2 years. They made the deal as soon as I mentioned leaving.

I apologize for not reading the whole thread and ask this question.
I have 2 tv's, one is smart, and the other is not. I am now with Rogers, with 2 pvr's and 2 cables coming into the house on 2 different floors. My current modem is split with one tv cable. I am considering Fibe TV, internet and home phone. According to Bell's web page, Fibe TV comes with a whole house pvr. My questions
1) how will Fibre cable be installed (it can reach my house), and come into my basement (where currently I have one cable). I want the pvr here and also the modem as all my entertainment equipment is set up here.
2) My second tv is on the 2nd floor. Do I need another HD PVR? and how does the fibe signal get to this TV or HD PVR without running a any cable or wire?
TIA.

Thanks for all the replies. My second tv is really old (2003 sony plasma) and does not have hdmi input, only dvi and the 3 rgb cables. Would it be a problem with the wireless receiver?

Thanks for all your help. Its now decision time, and Rogers made it very hard for me to leave. My wife like Rogers home phone feature (email notification from message center), so I gave in and negotiated a good deal. There is no contract, so I may leave anytime.
