I highly recommend going into your local staples. The one near us has quite a few corded phones, many with big buttons. You may also want to google. There are some online retailers that sell specialty products for older people that most stores don't carry.

My 85 year old mother could never use a DECt 6.0 phone as the buttons are much too small for her fingers. We got her one with oversized buttons that are much easier to touch.

I don't know this store so i am NOT recommending it, but I googled and this is the type of thing I would recommend. Amplification and big buttons are critical.

Those pictures are the speed dial so the senior can speed dial by touching the picture. This might be ideal for someone with some memory impairment.
