I am looking for a very easy to use corded phone, with memory to dial the most often used numbers.
Do not need display, do not want too many buttons, it must be as simple as possible.
To be used by a 85 year old with the beginnings of alzheimers.

Been searching locally without luck.

Any suggestions?

I got a Panasonic TX-TG1061C last year and am quite happy with it.

The buttons are a good size, it has speed dial buttons on the side. It has a built in answering machine, but I have it turned off so I can use voice mail.

It does have a display, but that's primarily for the time and a soft mute button. There is a directory, but I don't use it.

The speaker-phone function works quite well.

It comes with an extension DECT 6.0 cordless phone and you can add more if you want.

I highly recommend going into your local staples. The one near us has quite a few corded phones, many with big buttons. You may also want to google. There are some online retailers that sell specialty products for older people that most stores don't carry.

My 85 year old mother could never use a DECt 6.0 phone as the buttons are much too small for her fingers. We got her one with oversized buttons that are much easier to touch.
