Yes I am using HDMI 1.4 cables from satellite receiver to my Yamaha AV HDMI receiver and to LG 3D TV. This is all brand new equipment (TV and AV receiver) all made this year and for 3D. I have the LG BluRay player and it works great in 3D. I am only having problem getting 3D TV to recognize the Bell ExpressVu 3D signal

At least this way it will help you narrow down just what is going on because if you get 3D when connected Directly, it would point to the Yamaha, if you do not, it would be the TV or the Bell TV Receiver.

Might also be worth trying a different HDMI port on the TV.

Problem was setting on ExpressVu Reciever. It needs to be set to 1080i and 16:9 for the 3D signal to be available to the TV. It now works great and the channel 1933 is pretty good. It still is only 1080i not 1080P and the 3D is really only ½ resolution as they are using two 720p sided by side images. Hopefully ExpressVu will upgrade to 1080p and broadcast full 3D resolution sometime in the near future. But this channel is a good start. Some of the scenes are quite spectacular in 3D... the one with the little yellow airplane in the forground and the one with the tropical fish in the fish tank... quite spectacuolar 3D.

That does make sense when you think about it.

As for 1080p, watch out for an On Demand 3D Movie, they are in 1080p.

Thanks for the update, it is good to know.

I am purchasing a new Panasonic 3D television and would like to know if my current HDMI cable which is a 1.3 High Speed will pass the 3D signal from my Bell PVR 9241? I currently have it set to 1080i and 16X9. Thanks

Hello All,

Not trying to high-jack the thread, I bought kdl55nx810 sony 3d tv and unable to see 3d through bell receiver. I am able to watch 3d blu-ray movies but not 3d satellite tv.

My tv is connected directly to the bell 6131 receiver with hdtv settings 1080i and 16x9

Anybody able to view 3d from bell receiver on their sony 3d tv, please share your 3d settings. On my sony tv there are only two 3d options available and both are set to ON.

Thanks in advance!

Victor, Do you see regular HD channels on your Sony? If you do , then switch over to the 3D channel and you should see two pictures side-by-side? Do you see that?

i have directtv, bell and a samsung 3d blueray player hooked up to my samsung tv.

i can watch 3d perfectly on directtv and on blueray, but havent been able to get it to work with bell. I can see the two pictures side by side, but when i put on my glasses, nothing happens. I have the bell box set up to the settings earlier in the thread.

i figured that it wasnt working for me since I am in the us and that there was an issue there.

I believe that only certain tv's work for directtv's 3d offerings and i now wonder if that is the case with bell.

Does anybody have a samsung 3d tv that has gotten this channel to work?

I just got my Sony working.

yes, I had 2 images side by side.
on my tv remote I pressed options.
I went to the 3d menu. Turn on the 3d Display.
go down to the 3D format. You can't get there with 3D off.
change the 3D format to Side-by-Side.
You should now have 3d. You need to turn off the tv's 3d when not on a 3d channel or when you open the guide.

Bell is Side by Side format 3D which is different than Blu-ray and presumably different that directv.
