TSN2 has announced it will be carrying ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball beginning this Sunday April 3rd when the L.A. Dodgers hosting the defending World Series champion San Francisco Giants at Dodger Stadium.

Most games begin at at 8 p.m. ET and continue every Sunday, a total of 25 games, throughout the 2011 MLB regular season.

Dan Shulman provides play-by-play commentary for all games and is joined in the booth by former MLB pitcher Orel Hershiser and new analyst Bobby Valentine, who makes his broadcasting debut this season.

I believe any 8:30 starts are joined in progress because of Raptors basketball immediately before (6 PM start).

That TSN crawl or bottom line is horrendous. The graphics look like they are still in standard def which makes it look fuzzy on a hd picture. It's also about twice the size of the ESPN 2 ticker which it covers up. All the games are on TSN 2 this year. Hard to watch this broadcast but I suffer through it for the love of the game.

I assume all the games are on TSN2?
Yes, I have clarified in my postings.

So obviously, TSN2 has the rights for this season again, which is part of the Rogers/Bell deal where TSN2 gets SNB as a constellation for Rogers moving all Blue Jays games to RSN/RSN1. If memory serves, the deal expires at the end of this year.

However, for tonight at least, the game is going to be on RSN, as TSN2 has the finals of the 2012 RBC Cup, and they can't shift it to the main network as they have NHL playoffs.

I wonder if the two networks traded anything for this game, or if Bell just gave the game back to Rogers.

This is the second time this season that the ESPN Sunday Night Baseball game has been on Sportsnet.
These two sports broadcasters are fierce competitors, so I would think that Sportsnet would have to compensate TSN someway.

IIRC part of the deal made to trade the Jays for SNB, Sportsnet could take the game back if TSN had too many commitments on a Sunday night. It only happens a few times but at least we are getting the game..

Does anybody know if Tonights Sunday Night Baseball game featuring Washington Nationals at Atlanta Braves is on tonight. It's not showing on Bell TV Guide. Looks like TSN or TSN 2 are not showing it. None of the 5 Sportsnet channels are showing it either.

It isn't in the Rogers guide either. They also don't have the game on the barker for SSP or in the guide there.

The only channel that could pick it up is RDS since they were slotted for NHL Hockey tonight and that isn't happening or RDS Info.

Maybe they will make note of whats happening for that game when the Jays are on today.

Well at least it was on somewhere. English or French commentary? I wish the Canadian sports stations took a more proactive approach in keeping their schedules up to date when there are changes.

ESPN Wednesday Night Baseball on TSN2

August 1st, TSN2 is showing the ESPN broadcast of the wednesday night baseball game Detroit at Boston. Is this a one time thing because Rogers is busy with the Olympics, or has something changed?

They also had ESPN Monday Night Baseball this past week. I haven't seen any release on TSN picking up any MLB rights so my gut says Sportsnet sold TSN a few games to show on the deuce this week and next since Sportsnet 1 has been relegated to showing the Blue Jays.
