Hey,

Please just direct me to the thread in regards to this topic if it already exsits. Thanks.
And I did search for it. Just putting that out there.

So...error 122 on a 4100 receiver. Followed by a..."internal communications failure" message box. I'm pretty sure that's what it said.

history & symptoms...

-just bought the receiver today, and it's been activated.
-it had been unplugged for awhile.
-it powers up, finds a signal, downloads the guide no problem.
-then seems to work fine for awhile. (some lag between channel changes)
-it seems switching the channel triggers the black screen, and error 122.
-also, it does go black screen and error 122 without channel changing.
-tried reboot, via power button hold.
-unplugged it and waited, then plugged it back in.
-seems to work fine for awhile, but then randomly repeats.
-also, my paid programming hasn't loaded yet. (I know this can take awhile)

What's the fix, if there is one?

Thanks.

Everything's up and running now!!

I've been with Bell now for 13 years, give or take a year. And I haven't updated to the Genesis programming yet...so there was a bit of a conflict with the smart card receiving my old programming. Well, that's what I was told.

Glad you got it working but Bell should have told you all that when you added the 4100 to your account, in fact they should NOT have added the receiver without you upgrading the programming.....
