I have spam filtering enabled for my shaw email account with it currently set to hold junk mail. For the last few days I have had several messages from my investment adviser flagged as suspected junk mail and transferred to the junk email folder. I added their email address to my address book in webmail in order for their emails to be whitelisted. However, this only seems to partially work. About 50% of their mail is still falsely flagged.

Is there a way to permanently whitelist an email address?

I'm having the same problem. I missed a couple of emails from Xbox confirming a purchase and from Sirius for offers to buy concert tickets early that were never delivered to me and I only found them after the fact. I, too, added them to my address book but don't yet know how that is working. They should have a menu option 'Not Spam' like Hotmail does.
