Edgewater Wireless Systems announced it has finalized a deal to supply JMTelcom with WiFi-enabled equipment.
The Ottawa-based firm, which recently launched next generation WiFi3 technology, will deliver more than 1,000 access point products over the next year to JMTelecom, an equipment distributor and integrator with offices in El Salvador and Guatemala.
WiFi3 technology boosts network capacity and provides smartphone, laptop and tablet users with dramatically improved download and upload performance for voice, video and data intensive applications.
Andrew Skafel, President of Edgewater Wireless said: "JMTelcom was quick to recognize the benefits of WiFi3 and what it can do to greatly improve wireless network capacity for its customers. They are a great partner for Edgewater Wireless as they are focused on supporting the demand for WiFi in Central America. We are very pleased to have them as our partner in the region."
JMTelcom's marquee customers include major telecommunications provider, Telefonica, as well as large enterprise clients such as PEPSI, HSBC and Toyota.
