That phone is not Telus compatible, it's 2100MHz on HSPA. Telus uses 850/1900. None of the Canadian providers use 2100 at the moment. That phone would work with Rogers 2G network because it supports GSM 850/1900, but Telus doesn't have a 2G GSM fallback.
The XT720 is AWS compatible (thus Wind, Mobilicity, Shaw or Videotron) but it seems more likely that the Motorola phone Wind will be carrying is the Charm. That's pure speculation, but as Wind doesn't subsidize handsets carrying a high-end phone like that would require them charging a lot and would be unlikely to sell well.
The Droid X and Droid 2 are both CDMA phones so it's unlikely they will ever come to Canada as is. The "Droid" brand (separate from Android) is also a Verizon trademark, so it would have to be renamed like the Milestone. A Milestone X or Milestone 2 is certainly possible, but it would require a new radio and no such plans have been announced yet. That's not to say it won't happen though, the Milestone did take a while following the first Droid.
In the meantime if you're looking for a high-end Android phone on Telus check out the HTC Desire, a very well-reviewed high-end Android phone which Canada got before any American providers.
