As with all promise's from Bell, I will believe it when I see it.

It took over 6 years from the DPP LNBF being mentioned at a Road Show for it to appear as a Pilot Scheme.

+1 ^^^^^

And for boarderline22 there is a DP Quad which is probably what you saw on ebay, the seller probably just added the extra P not knowing the difference or not caring. The problem with the DP Quad is that you cannot use the DPP seperator with it, but you can send two lines from it to a DPP44 switch, not saying it is the best thing to do, just saying it can be done.

We were told that they've put in the order for them to be produced, and that from that point it usually takes about 10 months until we see them. So, hopefully they weren't just pulling our legs.

I prefer as little wiring as possible from the Dish, and having my distribution point starting inside the house. So my preference would be to lower the price of the DPP44 and use it with the DPP Twin LNBF.

On the other hand, with Bell installing so many SW44's on the dish, I guess a DPP quad would be an easy drop in replacement. I don't think it's going to happen though.

I agree, if it is anything like the rules in place for using a DPP Twin it will be agony for the Tech's yet again.

There are also SW64's hanging off Dish's, from when Bell ran out of SW44's a while back......lol

It will be interesting to play with a DPP Quad, as I am interested to know if you can run 2 x DPP44's from the 4 Outputs, therefore allowing 6 x DPP44's from a single Dish (Two cascades of 3 switch's). This would be useful in a Duplex situation etc.

Quite simple, the Tech's yet again will be forced to run 4 lines from the Dish, when only 2 are really required and they will loose the extra charges for installing a switch.

They might even remove the payment for an "Upgrade" as the LNBF is a single piece.
