Just had Telus installed for optik TV and internet.

I use an apple time capsule for WiFi. Do I need to still use the telus router as well? Or can I just use the small black modem and go into my Time Capsule from there?

the black one is a adsl2+/vdsl modem and the silver one is a adsl2+ modem/router with hpna.. can't remember if the black one has hpna but i'm thinking it doesn't.. and by the looks of the lights on the front it appears that you are using hpna for at least one box.. i'd keep the setup the way it is...

as far as wifi.. you can disable the wifi in the 3810 and use your own router..
