Third Party Internet Access provider Distributel Communications announced today that its now offering high-speed Internet services in Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Richmond and Surrey.

Distributel has been offering Internet and telecommunications services in Ontario and Quebec since September of this year. Prior to September the company operated for many years under the 3Web, CIA, Cyberus and Cybersurf brand name.

While operating under 3Web/CIA banner, Digital Home often received complaints about the company’s Internet and VoIP offerings. CIA also had the ignoble of making to Digital Home’s Spammers list in 2006 and 2007 by posing as satisfied consumers.

Complaints about the company have been few and far between in recent years. When asked recently about the company, Digital Home readers told us they were generally satisfied with Distributel’s offerings with one reader commenting that the service had “improved by quantum leaps.”

In Alberta and British Columbia, the company is offering three levels of Cable internet service starting from $36.95 which includes modem rental and unlimited downloads.
