Is it safe to assume that anything that airs on the Corus or Bell Media channels are their exclusives for the current season and discovery+ gets streaming rights after the season is over?

I did see a couple of shows/series with no episodes available. Presumably these are still showing on the 'regular' channels. Both might have been ID shows actually.

Yes, they are and it's being heavily advertised as the online home for old seasons of Triple D

discovery+ are also promoting Gold Rush which still airs on Discovery Canada and has all 12 seasons on CTV.ca, so it must be non-exclusive.

Since discovery+ Canada doesn't provide any public info on which episodes are available, I'll only post press releases for "discovery+ originals", anything that specifically mentions Canada and whatever they send out in their newsletter. Any discovery+ subscribers are welcome to contribute. Here are some recent articles.

Investigation Discovery issues a press release of True Crime Highlights every 2 weeks. Some programs are licenced to Investigation Discovery Canada and probably won't be available on discovery+.

This U.S. press release says that discovery+ will launch a Holiday Central hub on November 1st with all-new premiere episodes as well as seasonal favorites. Additional press release with more programming.

Well Done with Sebastian Maniscalco Season One premiered in August on discovery+ and its second season starts streaming Tuesday, November 16. (Source) Season One will be added to Food Network U.S. on November 16, although I don't know if it will be available on the Canadian channel.

It looks like DIY Network will rebrand to Magnolia Network in Canada around the end of March. I assume any original content that they show on the the U.S. channel will be available to Corus, but they won't necessarily show every single program. (DYI Network to rebrand as Magnolia Network) I'm not sure if any of the Magnolia shows they mention in the U.S. press releases have been added to discovery+ Canada.

I found these instructions - they should also apply to Canada. If they don't work and you subscribed on a computer, try playing a program on the computer to make sure your account is set up properly.

How do I log in to discovery+ with my iPhone / iPad?

The actual press release says: "CNN and Warner Bros. Discovery announced today the launch of a dedicated CNN Originals hub on discovery+ domestically. Beginning August 19..." so it sounds like CNN content will only be available in the U.S.

Regarding the combined service that some people have talked about - WBD didn't mention Canada. “Our primary focus for the rollout will be in the markets where HBO Max has already launched,” he said. “We plan to launch the service sequentially starting in the U.S. next summer. Latin America will follow later in the year. European markets with HBO Max will follow in early ‘24, with additional launches and key Asia Pacific territories and some new European markets coming later in 2024.” (Deadline)
