DHX Media (TSX: DHX), a leading producer and distributor of children's entertainment, signed its first content deal with Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX).

Three DHX Media-produced preschool series including Franny's Feet, Bo On The Go! and Mighty Jungle will be available to US Netflix subscribers.

"Netflix is leading the rapid expansion of the video on demand space and we are joining a notable line up of film and TV titles on the service. Digital audiences are growing significantly and we anticipate increasing demand for kids' content which is ideally suited to on-demand delivery. We look forward to building our partnership with Netflix as we augment our presence in this new distribution channel for entertainment content," said Josh Scherba, SVP Distribution at DHX Media.

Now in its third season on CBC, Bo on the GO! is consistently one of the highest rated preschool shows. Internationally, the show also airs on CITV in the UK and France 5.

Mighty Jungle has recently been added to the Disney Channel in Asia and Latin America while Franny's Feet airs on Playhouse Disney and The Family Channel in Canada and on PBS KIDS, Sprout and V-me in the US.
