DHX Television Enhances Subscriber Viewing Experience with the Family Channel App, Launching Today

DHX Television is bringing its high-quality family entertainment brand to viewers on the go as it launches the Family Channel App today. A one-stop destination for the entire family, the Family Channel App delivers programming from Family Channel, Family CHRGD, Family Jr. and F2N to audiences on mobile devices, tablets and via an extended desktop experience, giving them the freedom to catch their favourite programming whenever and wherever they want. Free to Family subscribers and offering more than 900 episodes across 40 series, the Family Channel App makes it convenient for Canadian families to access a live linear programming stream along with on demand content and downloadable episodes for offline access at their fingertips. To commemorate the launch of the Family Channel App, the series premiere of Raising Expectations, Family's new sitcom starring Molly Ringwald and Jason Priestley, is available now for on demand viewing on the App ahead of its network debut on May 8.

Viewers will have access to full-length episodes on demand, as well as the freedom to store episodes for viewing without an internet connection via the Offline Downloads feature. Also available to subscribers on the Family Channel App is the option to watch the entire schedule for all four channels live as it airs.

To use the Family Channel App:

• Subscribers can visit the Apple App Store or Google Play to download the Family Channel App for iOS or Android phones or tablets.
• Subscribers will be asked to enter their TV subscription credentials.
• For desktop/laptop access, subscribers can visit FamilyGO.ca.

To develop and launch the Family Channel App for iPhone and Android platforms, DHX Television partnered with media app solutions company Digiflare.

DHX Television launches The Télémagino App, just in time for the holidays

Following the successful launch of The Family Channel App in May, DHX Television announced today the expansion of its multiplatform offering to French-language viewers with the release of The Télémagino App, available now. Delivering more than 500 episodes across 20 series to preschool audiences on mobile devices and tablets, The Télémagino App will be continually updated with the network's most popular titles, and is available to subscribers at no additional charge. Key features include the ability to download episodes for offline viewing and a 24/7 live stream of the channel, giving viewers the freedom to watch their favourite programming whenever and wherever they want. A special treat for the holidays, the first two episodes of the animated series Kate et Mim-Mim are currently available on the App for OnDemand viewing, ahead of its network debut this January.

To use The Télémagino App:

• Subscribers can visit the Apple App Store or Google Play to download The Télémagino App for iOS or Android phones or tablets;
• Users with a Chromecast device can cast from the App to their TV (Apple TV coming soon);
• Subscribers will be asked to enter their TV subscription credentials.
