Hi there everyone, I just bought a Denon AVR-791 to be my receiver once my house is build. I am getting my builder to install 2 rears and 2 rear rear in ceiling speakers and 2 external speakers, but I have a question:

Can I use the receivers "Zones" feature to:

1.) Turn off all speakers but the external/deck?
2.) Leave all speakers on, including the external/deck?
3.) Leave all speakers on, excluding the external/deck?

Or

Is this even possible when 7.1 in enabled? because from what I see in the manual online is "other room" speakers are connected to where the rear rears would be. I am sure you can combine the two but that would mean my neighbors hearing my movies as well.

If you are using all 7 channels in your main room, you need a 2 channel amp for your zone 2. If you were only using 5.1 , then you could use the other 2 for your 2nd zone.

you could also have a movie on your main speakers and the radio on the deck.
