This unit is 1 and a half years old and has just started to shut down likely due to overheating. It has not been moved and I checked to see if any speaker wires are shorting out the power. Everything seems to be in order but it still shuts down. The manual troubleshooting guide states it is most likely overheating but when you touch the chassi it doesn't feel overly hot just warm. Any advice?

Remove the speaker wires altogether and see if it still shuts down. If not, connect the speakers one at a time to see which connection/speaker shuts you down.

If yes, then it sounds like you need to get it serviced. Perhaps try a reset - usually outlined in the operating manual somewhere, but that'll remove any menu settings probably.
