Looks like the Wii was yet again the "it" system to have for the Christmas holiday. They beat the 360 by half a million consoles.

And once again, the Call of Duty franchise shows us why name recognition is key. If the exact same game were released but NOT related to the Call of Duty series, would it have as many sales? I'm thinking no. I'm just glad I don't like the CoD series (or the Halo series for that matter), it saves me a bundle having to buy a new game every year.

Wii thoughts:
-Just Dance 2 is #2 for December? Really? I guess there's a market for that type of game.
-Nice to see Epic Mickey with over a million sales. I plan on getting my copy when the price comes down.
-Glad to see NSMBW holding strong. For a game that came out in 2009, it has remarkable staying power. Obviously it didn't make the list but I wonder how Mario Kart Wii (another game that continues to sell well, despite being released almost 3 years ago) did in 2010?
