For all the good DAZN does, it's a giant joke that they have no halftime show for the biggest game of the season yesterday. Instead of even providing the bare minimum of highlights, they show 15 minutes of filler content. If they're too cheap to produce their own studio show, surely they could just take it from the UK broadcaster.

Ya it was very disappointing with no Pre, half time or post game show. They did have a studio show just for Canada last year but I guess it's not worth it for them. You would think there would be something for the Final with a Canadian player on one team!

I resubscribed to DAZN when the champions league started up again on Tuesday. I've also noticed something a little different this time around.

I've complained about Dazn's frame rates in the past (25 FPS when you cast onto a tv) I noticed that when watching the games the frame rates will intermittently speed up for a few seconds, then revert back to the old 25 FPS. I also notice that when watching NFL football there seems to be more pixelation than last season.

Anyone else noticing this?

I use a 3rd generation chromecast that i bought around last year

thanks

No ... but I either use Roku or the app built into my LG TV.

It's possible that network usage is up from last year in your area ... perhaps more people working from home? Though if you are streaming it from the office, that wouldn't explain it.

I've noticed at home my network speed really picks up after midnight.

Hello

I’ve being chromecasting Dazn for the last 2 years and so far so good. But the past month has been a bit difficult. Over the past month while watching Champions league and Europa league soccer (live) I’ve noticed that during the match it will stop casting. I then have disconnect then reconnect the cast. This usually happens once during the game. Anyone else having the problem, better yet, does anyone know what the solution is?

Not sure if this is the right place for this question so I apologize in advance

thanks

First it was Canelo Álvarez, then it was Serie A, now it's the EPL

Is Dazn a sinking ship?

Other than NFL and UEFA Champions league, DAZN doesn't really have anything of significance to offer to Canadian sports fans.

Maybe they could right the ship by picking up more MLB or NBA game rights i dunno. I really don't know how they can justify $20 per month anymore. I know that it is still a little cheaper to buy NFL on DAZN rather than your cable company, but still

DAZN isn't a sinking ship. They're trying to buy BT Sport for £600 million. There is some speculation about what they'll do in North America.

The Canelo situation was mostly a problem with Golden Boy Promotions/Oscar De La Hoya, not DAZN. Three of his four fights since the split have been on DAZN. They still have a good boxing line-up.

I wouldn't be shocked if DAZN pulled out of North America. They have nothing of note in the US and they just lost their second-biggest property in Canada. Having the NFL and UCL plus a bunch of fringe sports/competitions isn't going to keep them afloat.

They really need a new single major property or to become a "home" for a certain sport (like motorsports) to stay alive here, imo.

That would be a serious shame. I've used them for their NFL coverage since they launched in Canada, way cheaper than the Rogers NFL Sunday Ticket package. The only complaint I would have is that you don't get the halftime shows, they run their Red Zone instead and sometimes they run their commercials over the broadcast commercials. All this I can live with for $20/month during NFL regular season

They have decent boxing in the US. They're trying to get a deal with Canelo to fight Bivol and GGG.

Not that the Premier League is bigger in Canada than the NFL, but I think the EPL was a bigger property for them because it is exclusive (almost, there is one game on NBC most weeks). Most football fans get their NFL from CTV and TSN.

With the exception of F1, particularly in Quebec, motorsports don't move the needle in Canada.

To answer the previous question about playoffs, we get all the games on broadcast TV, so no need to stream it.

For those who watched the Super Bowl on DAZN, did you get the US commercials, Canadian commercials or DAZN's own commercials? That might change how I watch the SB next year?
