Expanding to a six-night, Sunday-Friday schedule this fall, The CW will have 12 hours of original scripted series across the week in primetime this fall.
The Last Chapter of "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" Returns on Fridays. "Jane The Virgin" Returns in Midseason for its Final Season, Along With a New Season of "The 100" and the Final Season of "iZombie." New Series "In The Dark" and "Roswell, New Mexico" to Debut in Midseason.
EDIT: The CW will launch its 2018-19 season in October, with premiere dates to be announced later. The season will once again kick off with the exclusive two-night telecast of the IHEARTRADIO MUSIC FESTIVAL; air dates will be announced at a later date.
Interesting; Thanks for sharing this. Now my Monday will be Murdoch, Legends, and Arrow. Wed, Thurs, and Friday show little interest for me. But I think there will be a conflict at some point with Johnny Harris because they are putting his 'Still Standing' this fall and I think he said it was at 8pm but maybe that was Tuesday..
The CW will be switching time periods for its Monday series, with ARROW now leading off the night premiering October 15 (8:00-9:00pm ET/PT), and DC'S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW moving an hour later, making its season four premiere on October 22 (9:00-10:00PM ET/PT). This is a time period change for both shows from what was previously announced in May.
The CW's Epic Crossover Event: The Flash (December 9), Arrow (December 10) and Supergirl (December 11.) Please note for the this year's crossover, The Flash and Supergirl will swap time periods for this one time only. The crossover will also mark the first appearance of Batwoman (Ruby Rose). (Press Release)
Still no word on whether Canadians will have another source for The Flash.
Netflix Canada will begin streaming seasons 1-4 of The Flash on Sept. 1, which leads me to think that they also have the Canadian rights to season 5. It will be interesting to see the Netflix schedule for Oct. when The Flash premieres on The CW.
CONSTANTINE: THE LEGEND CONTINUES, the animated digital series which debuted on CW Seed, The CW's digital network, will receive a special broadcast airing on The CW Network, Monday, October 15 (9:00-10:00pm ET), following the season premiere of ARROW (8:00-9:00pm ET).
Immediately following the special, The CW will present a sneak preview of the upcoming season of DC'S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW, featuring interviews with the stars and producers about what's in store this season. DC'S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW premieres the following week Monday, October 22 (9:00-10:00pm ET).
Hey Doc, just want to point out that CW shows on Netflix Canada are delayed one week after their first-run on CW. And so those following the DC superhero series will be inconvenienced in December when they have mega-crossovers with shows scattered all over the place.
Unfortunately for Cogeco subs, you're only choice is subbing to TMN/HBO (or maybe SuperChannel) to get the US supers since they seem to be the only BDU in Canada that still offers them in that way. No pick and pay options for those and they are not included with the "gold-like" price of their skimpy Timeshifting package. Heck, they are the ONLY BDU in all of Canada to NOT carry Peachtree TV nor WGN at all.
Sure, here in Windsor we do get WKBD (and WMYD) from Detroit but in crappy SD only though. I have no idea if it's just Cogeco being miserable cheapskates or some stupid CRTC rule that won't allow them to add them both in HD. It would be very simple since they receive them in HD OTA to give to us in SD.
Now back to the regularly scheduled thread topic...
The CW Network has acquired the British action drama BULLETPROOF and ordered second seasons of BURDEN OF TRUTH and THE OUTPOST. The CW has also ordered new seasons of PENN & TELLER: FOOL US, MASTERS OF ILLUSION and WHOSE LINE IS IT ANYWAY? for Summer 2019. Premiere dates and times will be announced later. (Source)
CBC will air the second season of BURDEN OF TRUTH early in 2019.
FYI, The Flash season 5 is currently playing on Netflix. New episode appears on Thursday after its original run on Tuesday on CW. Black Lightning season 2 will be playing on Netflix. New episode appears on Tuesday one week after its original run on Tuesday on CW.
The CW Network has ordered additional episodes for all three of its fall freshman series, including nine additional episodes of CHARMED, and three additional episodes each of ALL AMERICAN and LEGACIES. With these additional episodes, CHARMED will finish its first season with 22 episodes, and ALL AMERICAN and LEGACIES will have 16 episodes each for their first season runs.
With these January moves, DC'S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW will return to Mondays in April after BLACK LIGHTNING concludes its second season. Additionally, new series IN THE DARK is currently scheduled to debut on Thursdays after LEGACIES completes its first full 16-episode season. The beloved JANE THE VIRGIN will return for its final season on Wednesday nights in the spring once ALL AMERICAN wraps its first full 16-episode season. Also, slated to return later in the Spring of 2019 is the final season of iZOMBIE and the sixth season of THE 100. Exact dates for Spring premieres to be announced later.
