I find a lot of the song & dance and award shows have nearly unwatchable compression. I think strobing lights and paper confetti drops absolutely kill whatever video codec is being used. I haven't analyzed to see if the problem is local, head end, or from the source. If possible, you might want to compare a satellite recording of the show versus one on cable and start there.
CTVE HD Compression?
Hi All - Does anyone know is CTVE HD being compressed to heck? I'm having pixelization issue on 2 different TV's. One plasma, one LCD. Watching the AMA's and X Factor is brutal.
