What I meant was that CTV and its various parent companies had been carrying shows in the Law & Order universe since the first show, well, Law & Order premiered in 1990. Started from Law & Order, then Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Law & Order: Trial by Jury, Law & Order: LA, plus Conviction, another show in that universe. Now CTV dropped Law & Order: Special Victims Unit after all that time.

I've noticed that CTV has let several programs go to CITY and Global next season.

What they should do is scrap CTV2 and turn the stations into CTV stations. That way CTV would have something approaching true national coverage. CTV2 is mainly full of reruns and less popular programming. The CTRC should never have allowed CTV to acquire another network when it did. It also shouldn't have mandated that CTV take stations it didn't want, still doesn't want and has been running into the ground ever since.

I would have thought that CTV would have left the election coverage to CTV NewsNet this time, as I read an article last week stating that we would not know the results of the election on election night but up to five days later, this was by design to give adequate time to count all the mail in ballots expected.

BC's last provincial election had a very high mail-in ballot count (due to covid), yet there was non-stop election night coverage. The mail-ins roughly corresponded to the day's ballot box results (with the usual too-close-to-call ridings). So, CTV is right to air coverage as most winners will be decided that evening (official results pending.)

Another one, another switcheroo that CTV pulls, this time for Monday, and I hate it from the bottom of my heart.
  1. Jann is moved to 19:00.
  2. Bob Hearts Abishola is moved to 19:30, one hour ahead of CBS.
  3. The Voice is moved from CTV2 to CTV, remains at 20:00 (simsub NBC).
  4. The Big Leap is moved from CTV to CTV2, remains at 21:00 (simsub FOX).

#25 ·
CTV is doing what they can to salvage the time slot - The Big Leap has been a ratings disaster in the U.S. and probably in Canada as well.

Bill Gorman’s prediction (TV Grim Reaper, formerly the Cancellation Bear at TVbytheNumbers.com)
Likely canceled: #TheBigLeap (Fox) All other premiered shows are likely renewed, for now. (Twitter)

Bob Hearts Abishola at 10:00 and Jann at 10:30 PM local time in Manitoba and Sask., after the main prime-time block.

What am I writing here? Another switcheroo, of course. Our Kind of People was originally scheduled on CTV for Tuesday at 21:00. Last week it was moved to 22:00, leaving the 21:00 slot free for La Brea. Starting tomorrow (05/10), Our Kind of People is moved to CTV2 at 21:00, simsub FOX. This leaves the 22:00 slot free for the upcoming of Queens, premiere on 19/10, simsub ABC.
