On Monday of this week, CTV BC began broadcasting its local news in high definition, becoming the first television station in British Columbia to air its entire news broadcast in HD, from studio to field acquisition.

Led by anchors Pamela Martin and Bill Good, the HD broadcasts air weekdays at 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. and weekends at 6 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.

In order to watch the broadcasts, cable and satellite subscribers in BC will require an HDTV, an HD cable or satellite receiver, and subscribe to an HD package. For HDTV owners that don't subscribe to cable or satellite, the station also broadcasts over-the-air from North Vancouver's Mount Seymour on digital channel 32-1.
