HI,
I will soon subscribe to Bell TV and because there's many thing to pay that we know and what they don't tell us I would like to know if the dish is free with the subsrcibe and if new the dishes are better than older one ( because I bought one to someone 2 years ago).

Next, I would like to know if there'S anything else we got to pay like coaxial cable and other things like that.

I just don't want to learn to the momment I'll subscribe tha I got to pay many things. Thanks.

I'm sure some of the installers can elaborate, but if you sign a 2-3 year contract with Bell then you generally get one free installation that includes mounting a new dish/lnb/switches and running two RG6 cables from the LNB to two receivers (with limitations such as no cabling thru attics or difficult fishing).

Unfortunately, a bell installation is guaranteed for only 90 days. Any problem after that, even an aim issue, is your problem at your expense. Boo.

If you don't sign a multi-year contract with Bell, you're on your own for installation, in which case I think you're better off to hire an installer yourself directly who may give you a lifetime installation guarantee such as the guy who installed my DirecTv system did. Over ten years, his install job has held up perfectly.

If you enter into a Rental Agreemant with Bell TV, then installation of up to 4 Tuners is Free, so is replacement of Receivers, if they fail, for as long as you Rent.

There used to be a charge for RG6 cable, after the first 75' per line, this no longer applies but for a Custom Installation, it might be worth checking out a reputable Installation Pro.

There is a Retailer that advertises on this Forum, who I would reccomend but as you do not have your location in your details, I cannot say if they cover your area.

Feel free to PM me for details if you like.

ok but i'll buy on hd receiver 6131 and 2 receiver 4100, so that mean i'll get a free installation just for 2 of the 3 receiver.

And you mean that if I subscribe for 2 year with them, I'll get free installation, free dish and cable and switches?

But I ear somewhere that the basic installation (that is free), they can't pass the cable trough the attic, so how will they connect the receiver to the dish without going to the attic?

finally I found 2 coupons in a website (one for 250$ of installation and one for 200$ of credit), that's a lot for just coupons so I wanted to know if they could work. Here's the link : http://www.retailmenot.com/view/bell.ca

And you mean (skybunny) that If I want free basic installation with free dish and cables and switches, I'll need to get stuck with them for 2 years?

I found 2 coupons of Bell tv on a website (one for 200$ in installation and one for 240$ for credit) and I would like to know if they could work, because that's a lot for just coupons. here's the link : http://www.retailmenot.com/view/bell.ca

P.S. does the new model of dishes are better than older one, because I have one and they all seem same.

Bell does free installation with a two year contract. Rental receiver installation is completely free. Purchased receivers are free for the first receiver and $50 for each extra receiver. The cost of parts varies with the number and type of receivers so there is no simple answer except, "Take the free installation offer."

The installation method is up to the installer but it must follow Bell guidelines. They often run wires on the outside of the house since this is usually easiest. They can use existing wiring if it is good. I've seen installations go down the wall and through the basement as well. If you want wires run a certain way, it may cost extra if it requires extra parts and labour.

Are there really installers who drop wires from the attic and through walls. I wish I would have known that. I have 3 sd receivers and three wires coming from the dish sw44 switch outside and three holes on the outside of my house.

As of a week ago, only rental receivers were free with a 2-year contract. At least in Toronto directly with bell, maybe different elsewhere. They do offer free rentals (2 years) and free installation. Bell would not offer a free or a discounted purchased receiver. Instead they said to go to The Source, which offers the 9241 for $250 and the 6131 for $150 (each net of $200 sub credit). Maybe I'm getting less of a deal, as I'd rather own a freebie permanently than get a 2-yr freebie rental.

If you buy at The Source (like I just did 3 months ago) you will get the receiver(s) from them and pay them the full amount, once you get home you call Bell and let them know you just bought a receiver(s) and they will set up an install. Mine was only 2 days after buying. The installer will install everything and call Bell to activate then you sit back and enjoy. Your credits for being a new sub will be credited on your bill. Some say it takes a few bills, but my free credit was on my first bill.

FYI: I have a 9241 & 6131

^ How much did you pay for those two receivers (with or without tax?), and how much was the credit on the bill? (They were gonna charge me $650+tax and then give a total programming credit of $200). Did you get any other programming discount or a free instal?
