Hey Folks,

My apologize if this simple info is posted somewhere, I've strangely struggled to find it. Feel free to refer me to a post if it is. I lost power to my entertainment center a bit ago and my PVR expander is now not recognized. I always struggle with this, but what order should they be powered on?

I swear the shaw website said plug in the power cable of the expander, and then the digital box itself, but I still get no PVR options despite showing power on both boxes.

Thanks,
Scott

Or reverse it by plugging in the box, waiting for the information to start to download (approx. 7-10 minutes) and then plug in the expander.

Just my thought.

An external drive always needs to be on or on before the PVR so that it can recognize it at boot-up. Best to have the drive on a UPS.
