I am using a Samsung Bluray player and Samsung tv with a hdmi CABLE.
When I try to play a reg. dvd or a bluray dvd I get a message on
the screen saying copyright protected and I can not display the movie.
I can access the menu ect.These dvd are store bought.
Anyone now why

What's the exact model number of your Samsung TV and BD player? Is there an AVR in the loop? Sounds like some sort of handshake or HDCP issue between the TV and Player. Make sure you have the latest firmware on both and make sure the HDMI connection is secure (unplug and replug it, swapping the ends, or try a different cable) Unplug both devices from power for a few minutes for a possible reset.
