The CRTC announced today that it is opening its on-line discussion forum to gather comments related to the recent draft of a proposed TV Code for Canadians. The proposed code would act as a code of conduct for television service providers in Canada.

On March 26 th , 2015, a draft version of the TV code was published by the CRTC. The discussion forum is now open until May 25 th , 2015 for Canadians to comment on the draft TV Code , on-line.

 

Feedback is being sought on the following topics:

 

In addition to the online discussion forum, Canadians can also continue to send in their comments in any of the following ways:
  • by filling out the online form ;
  • by writing to the Secretary General, CRTC, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0N2; or
  • by sending a fax to 819‑994‑0218.

"Canadians sent us a strong message that they were encountering problems with their television service providers,” says Jean‑Pierre Blais, CRTC Chairman. “I invite them to take an active part in the discussions. Now is the time to shape your TV Code."
