Just gotta say, the Boise State-VT was a great game and an excellent finish and I'm glad I was able to watch it thanks to the SSP. Too bad no one else besides Rogers/Cogeco could watch it, that's a shame.

I'm a huge NCAA football fan, specifically the University of Michigan; and when I had Shaw Direct, I could get my U.S. feeds out of Detroit and I had BTN so I was as happy as I could be last year. This year I have Shaw cable and I get my feeds out of North Dakota, so that means when Michigan/Ohio State plays, I'll be getting UND vs Bimidji State instead.:( Oh joy.

I'm new to the Super Sports Pak this year, so this may be common...but can someone tell me why the main Big Ten Network game (Northwestern) is duplicated in the sports pack while the Minnesota game is nowhere?

And I see later that FSU-Oklahoma will be on the pack, which we're already getting on ABC; while I don't see the ESPN2 game (Iowa-Iowa State) anywhere.

For me on Cogeco in Burlington on Big Ten Network there showing the Minnesota-South Dakota game and on the SSP the Illinois State-NorthWestern game is on.

Weird...on Rogers in NB Northwestern-Ill State is on both 408 (regular BTN) and 435 (SSP).

Not that big a deal to me (too many other games on!) but still...

[Edit: and just to close all this up, Iowa-Iowa State is on where it says FSU-Okla would be. Now back to flipping between Miami-OSU, ND-Mich and (my) BC Eagles.]

Kudos to them for doing that, let's hope that's more of a regular thing.

Hope they realize the Pac-10 shootouts will be of more value to them than the usually superior SEC battles between LSU and FLA.
(USC-Stanford is also available from ESPN at the same time this SAT)

USC-Stanford is on ABC, not ESPN. If you get ABC from Spokane or Seattle, then you get it. I completely disagree that USC-Stanford is more important (or most valuable) game anyway. LSU is undefeated, LSU-Florida is a huge rivalry matchup, USC's games are basically meaningless and Stanford is coming off getting beat by Oregon. LSU-Florida is one of the 3 big games this weekend, probably the one I'm most looking forward too.

This weekend they aren't bothering with a reverse mirror of the 8pm games because there is an extra SEC game that they want to air on ESPN2 (Auburn-Kentucky) and because neither of the primetime games are "great" matchups. Usually ESPN2 only reverse mirrors ABC primetime games if 1 or both matchups are really good (two top 10 teams or big market teams) or if they have nothing better to air.

Okay so this weekend there are no games on Sportsnet One. I sent Sportsnet a Tweet asking why Sportsnet One doesn't have any NCAA football games this weekend. They replied that its because of "too many NHL, MLB and NFL commitments". First off the NFL doesn't play on Saturday (and games can't air on One anyway), there are no MLB games on One today and there are no NHL games on any Sportsnet channels today (all Canadian teams on HNIC). I have to say that this might be the worst excuse I've ever heard.

Doesn't help anyone in New Brunswick obviously, but if anyone in Southern ON can get WNYO 49 from Buffalo OTA, they have an ESPN feed of a Temple-Northern Illinois (MAC Conf.) game on right now. Perhaps other MyTv Affiliates do as well? CBS and ABC have games scheduled for 3:30 PM Eastern, Teams to be announced so it says in my EPG.

That is a MAC Network game. It is also on WXYZ (ABC Detroit), which anyone with Shaw Direct gets, as well as some Rogers customers outside of the Toronto area in Ontario and New Brunswick.

EDIT: Actually WXYZ is airing Western Michigan-Ball State, I had forgot that there was regional coverage on MAC Network this week.

Yeah was just pointing out options. The ABC game at 3:30 pm here is listed as Michigan - Michigan St. While the CBS game at 3:30 is listed as Alabama-South Carolina. These are all available free OTA in HD to anyone within proximity of the US-Canada Border, or even for those who are not as fortunate using an FTA Satellite system. But of course the big cable companies and satellite providers aren't going to tell you that. They would have you believe your only option is them.

Edit: forgot, there's an NBC game also, Pittsburgh at Notre Dame.
