I don't believe you will find any SCART connections on STBs here. You'll need to use composite video (and analogue audio) or S-video and analogue audio for say a DVD recorder.

Here's a post on Recording to various devices. It's for Rogers, but applies to most providers, as appropriate. There's a link to connection instructions for DVD recorders near the bottom of the post:

Then check out the following post, useful for those new to the forum - FAQs, Search Tips, Optimization, etc:

If you wish to record HD, you're mostly stuck with the provider's HDPVR.

No purpose built (for the North American or Japanese market) consumer A/V devices use SCART. Individual RCA connections are the norm, except for S-video, which uses a 4 pin mini-din, and RF, which uses screw on F connectors for all home A/V RF (not the PAL/Belling-Lee type plug used in Europe).

AFAIK Cogeco uses Motorola. You can get documentation on their boxes from the Cogeco website, or the Motorola website.

Another thing to note is that we use NTSC video (525 lines/29.97 frames/second interlaced). Your supposedly European recorder may not accept it. Just leave it there and get a domestic recorder when you get here.
