I'm curious if anyone knows if there would be any issues with this setup.
The primary home phone line would be Cogeco Home Phone (they supply a "modem" that has connnections for the incoming cable line, and connections for the phone cord, and network cable to the computer).
This phone line is the typical cable company phone offering (not really VOIP - but something very similar - not sure what the correct term would be).
Cogeco supports a second phone line - but you can't get a long distance package on it!!! (this is the issue).
So - to get a second phone line, I am hoping to go through Vonage. Will the Vonage phone line work ok when there also is a Cogeco Home Phone line / modem in use??
I just wanted to throw this question out there - just in case there might be an issue with this.
Thanks!
