I've been watching some of the election coverage and noticed that CNN HD overscans the screen somewhat on my LG plasma. I'm watching through my Pace Aspen and all the other channels appear fine. Has anyone else noticed this?

PS it doesn't happen on my Summit connected to my LCD.

I just checked and I also have a bit of overscan on CNN-HD on Rogers Toronto and my Sony LCD (The TV has 2-3% overscan), so it must be an issue with CNN. For example, the bottom line is not completely visible and there's a small bit cut off the sides.

The reason you may not be seeing it as much on the Summit/LCD is because you may have that TV set to zero percent overscan (pixel/pixel) while the other TV is on 16:9 or "wide", which would give 2-3% overscan, however the channel should show properly with 3% overscan.

This may have something to do with the fact that they're sending out the 16:9 image to the SD channel? Didn't they always have sidecut 4:3?
