I just wanted to post a list of the OTA HD channels I get in Sackville, Nova Scotia.

Recently bought a Pioneer 111-FD and after it searched through the digital channels, it also found the HD channels listed below......(now - I don't know if these channel numbers are correct or if it was just how the TV names them.....). No extra antenna was used, just the one in the TV itself.

- 120.05 - Series+ French
- 120.02 - Another French channel
- 120.03 - C'est la vie French channel
- 119.01 - Classic movies
- 116.03 - Big Ten football channel (also on 115.04, but not in HD)
- 115.06 - CNN
- 114.02 - No pic - only audio - don't know channel
- 114.11 - No pic - only audio - movie channel maybe?
- 111.02 - CityTV
- 111.01 - Global
- 109.03 - Sun
- 109.02 - Sportsnet Ontario
- 109.01 - WSBK WBZ Boston ("38")
- 102.03 - Sportsnet Pacific

- I get a plethora of radio channels.....most of the ones I get through my Eastlink box.

If anymore channels come in, I'll update.

These channels are not OTA. They are being seen on your tv through cable somehow. I'm sure CNN doesn't roadcast around here.

It's not OTA!

Your tuner is somehow decoding cable channel 18 CNN as 115.06. and channel 102 sportsnet ontario as 109.02.

Definitely not OTA, but maybe QAM? That could explain the channel numbers.

Yep, those are clear-QAM channels over cable. Many cable carriers offer some channels in clear-QAM, mostly audio programming (radio stations and Galaxy music stations), and some barker channels. Apparently your carrier also offers some HD and SD channels as well.
