____Not sure how many people find this interesting but I thought I would start a thread for posting classic channel guides from any service provider in Canada. It's interesting to see how cable television has changed in Canada over the years.
I thought I'd get this thread started by posting a few from the cable system I had growing up.

Channels 59-78 where not initially available to all areas of St. John's and therefore TMN, MPIX and WSBK had duplicate positions until all areas where upgraded.
Well Food Network was OK Until Corus TVFN G.P. and AAC Launched a Canadian Version of Food NetworkIn those days, TMN2 started at 6pm, TMN3 started at 7pm and TMN4 started at 8pm. Since Treehouse was a channel for pre-school kids, it shared the multiplexed channel figuring the younger kids would be in bed by 8pm.
sometimes Rogers and many Cogeco Systems replace TMN2 with TMN3 and in St John's You would find TMN4.Treehouse was always a 24/7 channel from when it launched in November of 1997. Rogers and many Cogeco systems typically shared TMN2 and Treehouse on one channel to conserve scarce channel space. Other systems like Shaw carried the 24x7 feed as did the two satellite carriers at the time (ExpressVu and Star Choice). Same deal with CNBC. Rogers would typically only carry the service from 6:00am-7:00pm and share it with TMN3 (7pm-3:30am). Shaw carried the 24x7 feed on many of its Ontario systems they acquired from Trillium Cable. Starting in Oct. 97, CNBC was pretty much carried 24x7 on all systems that offered it.
