New series descriptions available in the press release.

Canada's Got Talent - With no age limit and no act too obscure, Canada's Got Talent will embark on a nation-wide search for Canada's favourite performer, celebrating the diverse and eclectic homegrown talent from across the country. Much more than a singing or dancing competition, Canada's Got Talent will showcase the top acts from magicians to jugglers, contortionists to fire eaters, singers and dancers - anything goes.

Alcatraz - From executive producer J.J. Abrams (Fringe, Lost, Star Trek) and showrunner Elizabeth Sarnoff (Lost, Deadwood) comes Alcatraz, a chilling new drama revolving around America's most infamous prison and onetime home to the nation's worst criminals.

Apartment 23 - After a naive Midwestern girl's big city dreams are dashed her first week in New York, she finds herself living with her worst nightmare in this hilarious, contemporary comedy about a female odd couple who are surrounded by an outrageous cast of characters. Created and written by Nahnatchka Kahn (American Dad), Apartment 23 is executive-produced by Kahn, Jason Winer (Modern Family), Dave Hemingson (American Dad, How I Met Your Mother) and Jeff Morton (Modern Family).

Scandal - From the creator and executive producers of Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice comes a drama revolving around the life and work of a professional crisis manager and her dysfunctional staff.

Shameless - Meet Frank Gallagher (William H. Macy) proud, working-class patriarch to a motley brood of six smart, spirited and independent kids who, without him, would be... better off.

Well, Citytv is now the Canadian home to most shows I will watch: Alcatraz, Fringe, How I Met Your Mother, Person of Interest and maybe Terra Nova. I expected CTV to get one or both of Person of Interest or Terra Nova, so good for Citytv.

I've never watched the original version of Shameless, but I might give the American one a try.

"Conviction Kitchen" has not been renewed (yet), so City TV can't pick it up. If it is renewed, they may pick it up mid-season.

Ah wonderful - that (now month-old) press release is the first hint I've seen that there'll be a 5th season of Murdoch Mysteries in 2012.

Did they push back the Quan Dynasty again? Was supposed to air last year on CITY/Omni, then showed up in CITY's upfront for this fall, but not on their recent premiere dates release.

It would have been easier (and more readable) for them to indicate which shows are not simulcast, instead of those that are.

I was looking at last night's schedule and noticed that City TV is airing Season 1 of "Louie" on Monday (Rogers Media owns both FX Canada and City TV).

It also looks like new episodes of "Law & Order: UK" are showing on Mondays to replace Playboy Club.

These shows look like they will be next scheduled for Oct. 31.
