Is there a way to be sure that I am getting reception from satellite ANIK F2 ?
I know NFL NETWORK is on that satellite, so if I can see that channel it means I got it. What if I do not have that channel on my subscription, is thera any other way to know if I am getting signal from anik f2 ?

I'm guessing you don't have an HD box either.

Yes....350 APTN or you can also try

700 SRC Montreal (French)
711 TVA Montreal (French)

All three of these are (1) in most (if not all) programming packages, and (2) Standard Definition, thus decodable by all Shaw receiver models
