Changing your password with Shaw webmail?

Hi guys, I have an old shaw webmail account from years ago that I forwarded to a gmail account and lately it's showing bounced back emails where some bot or person is spamming people with the webmail account.

I haven't used this email address for years but I still have a password to access the email, yet there is NO WAY to reset or change your password from within webmail! It looks like only an account holder can do this!!

So it either was setup with my parent's old account (15 years ago) or my own shaw account before I switched to Telus (5 years ago)

The frustrating thing is I've tried contacting customer support, the only thing the woman asked is what other names are under the account, so I gave my parents, my name, my wife's name but the lady said no to everything and she would not be able to help me and I had to get the account holder to contact them!!

Absolutely useless and frustrating system and I could not be hating this company any more right now!! I have a email account I can access, email anyone I want but so can whoever else has hacked into the email and there's nothing I can do or anything that Shaw's willing to do to help??

Any advice is appreciated, I don't want to waste any more time on this I swear to god I will never use shaw again

It sounds like you don't use Shaw as it is. You have Telus and your parents used to have Shaw, 15 years ago.

Unfortunately, your entitlement to use Shaw.ca webmail is tied to your Shaw internet subscription, and would have ended 5 years ago when you cancelled your Shaw internet services. If your friend/family member created a Shaw email account for you, your entitlement would similarly last only as long as that person subscribed to Shaw internet.

If you have access to a Shaw.ca email address and wish to reset the password, you will need to contact the Shaw Internet subscriber, and get them to change the password through "My Account".

It looks like he is getting his Shaw email forwarding to his Gmail account and the email that he is getting is rejection emails from spam emails.

When you called Shaw, was your last name on the account?

If yes, I suggest phone Shaw again and ask for the first initial so that you can figure out whose account is it. Then you need to contact that person.
