Iomega has announced the launch of the iConnect Wireless Data Station, a device that provides a simple way to bring all of your USB storage into your network.

The iConnect Wireless Data Station has no onboard storage. Users just connect the Iomega iConnect device to their router in – wired or wirelessly – and then plug up to four external USB drives or USB Flash drives into any of the four USB ports on the device.

Wonders if there's a performance hit compared to a dedicated NAS box. Usually the NAS box would have a processor built in to help with the RAID/traffic management.
