Although this transition from all college sports to "all sports" will be gradual (probably starting with the upcoming fall season), isn't this reason enough for cable companies like Rogers to switch to the much more robust ESPN college channel, "ESPN U"?
If the intention in adding "CBS College Sports" was to provide a pure college sports channel, this no longer meets that criteria and ESPNU does.
As seen below, the news release mentions utilizing CBS' other assets to eventually be an active part of the channel:
CBS Sports (replays of NFL games?)
Showtime Sports (live boxing and MMA, NASCAR, NFL and MLB shows)
MaxPreps.com (high school sports)
