'Limitless' earns full-season order at CBS

CBS has picked up nine more episodes of its rookie drama "Limitless," marking the network's first full-season pickup for a new show this fall. CBS' move could also mean that Season 5 of "Person of Interest," the previous occupant of the 10 p.m. Tuesday spot, could land in a new home when it returns later in the season.

CBS will delay airing 2 terror-themed episodes, replacing them with new episodes that had been scheduled for later in the season.

“Supergirl” had been scheduled to air an episode called “How Does She Do It?” It will be replaced by “Livewire,” a Thanksgiving episode originally set to air next week.

The “NCIS: LA” episode, “Defectors,” dealt with women being recruited to join ISIS. It will be replaced by “The Long Goodbye.”

CBS hasn’t rescheduled the original episodes yet.

CBS winter/spring 2016 schedule

CBS winter/spring 2016 schedule: '2 Broke Girls' and 'Mike & Molly' to Wednesdays, still no 'Person of Interest' | TV By The Numbers by zap2it.com

Here are the premiere dates, with new shows in italics. All times are Eastern/Pacific. (The Monday and Tuesday lineups are unchanged.)

Sunday, Dec. 20
8:30 p.m. ET/8 PT “Undercover Boss” (NFL doubleheader weekend)
Note: “Undercover Boss” will run for three Sundays, after which the usual CBS Sunday lineup will resume.
Wednesday, Jan. 6
8 p.m. “2 Broke Girls” (time period premiere)
8:30 p.m. “Mike & Molly”
9 p.m. People’s Choice Awards
Thursday, Jan. 7
9:30 p.m. “Angel from Hell”
Friday, Jan. 8
8 p.m. “Undercover Boss” (time period premiere)
Friday, Feb. 12
8 p.m. “The Amazing Race”
Wednesday, Feb. 17
8 p.m. “Survivor” (90 minutes)
Wednesday, Feb. 24
10 p.m. “Code Black” season finale
Wednesday, March 2
10 p.m. “Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders”
Thursday, April 7
8:30 p.m. “The Odd Couple”

Neither Season 5 of “Person of Interest” or new series “Rush Hour” has a spot on the schedule yet; summer could be an option, but a CBS rep tells TV by the Numbers that nothing is decided yet. There may also be episodes of “2 Broke Girls” and “Mike & Molly” available for summer, as they’ll have only a six-week run on Wednesdays. But again, CBS hasn’t worked all that out yet.
