Im sick of dealing with these crappy fm transmitters. Unfortunately all 3 of my cars are about 1-2years too old to be equipped with the aux in jack in the factory stereo. I don't want to replace the factory units and looking for a hardwire. I have done some searches on google and found lots of different solutions. Any recommendations? Anything you've found descent?

Actually, I use an old FM transmitter from Kensington with my iPhone without any difficulty. Not sure what else to suggest. Are you looking for a hardwired solution? Your original title was unclear because of a spelling error.

GROM AUX + Kensington LiquidAUX Bluetooth Car Kit

In my wife's car (2005 Mazda 3), I installed a GROM AUX auxiliary in adapter (3.5mm phone jack): http://www.gromaudio.com/

I use this with a Kensington LiquidAUX Bluetooth Car Kit: http://us.kensington.com/html/14484.html
It syncs very quickly and doesn't need to be recharged. For long trips, there's a powered USB port to keep the phone charged.

This gives me excellent sound, while staying wireless.

I had a unit from Dice electronics in my old TSX. Worked like a charm. They make them for a bunch of different makes and models. I think it was about $150.
