According to the requirements at :

http://www.cbs.com/hd/sys_requirements.shtml , I believe that I should be
able to see their videos.

My specs:

XP SP3, 4G ram, ATI Radeon HD 4350 (512 MB DDR2)
AMD ATHLON II X2 (2.9 GHz), Rogers Internet Express
Adobe Flash 10 for both IE8 and Seamonkey 2.0.11

-won't play in either browser............any ideas ?

You should offer up more explanation than "can't play video". You can't play any of the videos from that site? Do you get any kind of error message? Can you play videos from other sites?

what error message are you receiving? Likely the fact that you are in Canada.

I checked CBS video's for the heck of it and cannot view them because I'm outside their geographical region. I'm in Canada so perhaps romulus it may be your reason also.

All I see is a black screen (no error messages). I can't see any videos at this site.
I can see videos at other sites (cbc, rogers/yahoo,youtube,etc.)

This is not a Canada/USA issue (friends in Toronto can see it).

It`s a flash video. My guess is your browser is not flash enabled or not set up properly.

Goto Adobe site and get flash player update

I do have the latest Flash version, but your "setup" suggestion enabled me to find the solution. I have a utility from PcMag that enables one to block all Flash cookies (not the same as "ordinary" cookies). When I ran it some time ago, I had enabled blocking of all flash cookies. After selectively enabling flash cookies from cbsnews, I'm able to view the video. Thanks for the setup suggestion.
