I searched could find anything,
but when i try to sync my iPad, it says error can not load video or something like that,

won't even load video I saved from my camera, its all been converted to mp4 etc, its in my iTunes libary and plays fine in itunes,

do I have to unlock my iPad or something?

it says
"video name" was not copied to the iPad because the video can not be played on the iPad,

I've converted the video to mp4 using hamster video converter, and I selected convert for iPad,

Run the original file through handbrake, choose the iPad or AppleTV2 as a preset.

Check resolution too. I have found that it doesn't seem to like 1920 x 1080 MP4s

used handbrake, its really slow to convert but it works now, m4v I think is the file type

I use a product called 'isquint' that compresses and prepares the movie files just like handbrake but has a checkbox for 'Add to iTunes' so the whole process is done in one program.
