A friend of mine wants her Gateway hidden behind her TV but then the remote doesn't work. The tech said she had to downgrade to a 2 tuner model that she really doesn't want because the Gateway has no place to plug in a remote extender. Is there no way to hook something up, so that she can have a Gateway system hidden behind her TV and still use either some kind of IR or RF extender or a different remote with it? Thanks for any input.
If she's renting from Shaw, they should give her the 2150 shouldn't they? Is this the same for the main unit which has the portal built into it. That is what will be behind her TV.
Any recommendations for an IR tether? Will it work with the Gateway remote or will she need something like a Harmony?
