BVN is running a crawl across the top of the picture warning that users must input new frequency and symbol rate settings into their receivers before Feb 10.
the new settings are: 12076MHz, Horizontal Polarity. Symbol Rate: 5787, FEC 3/4. There is one less TV channel that scans-in, but I can't remember at the moment which one is missing.

My parents' Viewsat has an error when I scan with NIT turned on, that adds a transponder "1208" MHz, "5787"SR.
I'm guessing that the uplink provider has a typo in their encoder settings. My own Openbox S9 didn't add any transponders doing a NIT search.

Is anyone in Canada having GOOD quality these last few weeks on either the new frequency or the old one??
My contacts are struggling to get reliable reception using both new and old.

Here's the aftermath: it looks like the new smaller bandwidth signal shows higher power than the old wider one. I hope this will have a good effect on reliability!

How are you making out now sparky?

It seems quite a bit stronger today than it did immediately after the frequency change.
Here, it is now 10 dB SNR. 2 dB better than last August, and at least ~ 3 dB better than what I saw just after the frequency change.
Clear sky last summer, and overcast skies both times I checked this winter.

Code:
Tuned specs:

System: DVB-S 5
Frequency: 12076 H 5787
22khz: OFF
Modulation: QPSK 0
FEC: 3/4 3
Inversion: OFF 0
Rolloff: 35 0
Pilot: OFF 0
MIS: -1
FRAME_LEN: LONG 0
Bandwidth: 7.8125 MHz
Data Rate: 7.9997 Mbps
CN Failure: 5.5 dB

  status Locked | signal -45.0 dBm | snr 10.1 dB | ber 0 | FE_HAS_LOCK
  status Locked | signal -45.0 dBm | snr 10.2 dB | ber 0 | FE_HAS_LOCK

it's good and solid again on my remaining clients. I'm not able to get stats like yours from my receivers but my Openbox S9 seems happy showing about 65% quality on my 36" dish, and Viewsat Extreme at my parents' showing about 36-55% on their 4 foot dish. these readings are ever slightly better than last year

right on, I have an S9 also...the S9 maxes out at 85% quality no matter what the FEC is.
When I get a chance I will compare my S9 reading with my tuner card's (above is from Prof 7500) snr reading for you on this transponder. Once with it peaked, and again while at or near the minimum 5.5 dB snr. That way you'll at least have something that's somewhat meaningful to compare looking at your S9.

Result of my experiment with the S9 Quality vs the Prof 7500
on this transponder. likely only valid to assume this comparison
on this DVB-S QPSK FEC 3/4.
Would expect other modcodes to behave differently of course.
And DVB-S2 signals generally will fall off much more quickly than DVB-S
when approaching the theoretical minimum.

Code:
prof 7500 S9
10.1 dB 70%
9.0 dB 67%
7.9 dB 60%
6.8 dB 56%
5.7 dB 46% signs of BER on Prof, still a stable picture on both
5.3 dB 42% signs of BER on Prof, still a stable picture on both
4.9 dB 39% signs of BER on Prof, still a stable picture on both
4.4.dB 35% Unwatchable on Prof, S9 still hangin in there.

I have only seen screen shots from one or two people with VU Solo STBs that have some SNR dB in them. There may be others, but that's the only one that I have seen.
I think it's a linux box running Enigma2 SW.
I use PC based cards for that under linux.

I'd buy a STB if it was advertised as being able to display SNR, or spectrum scan.

My spectrum scan results look far better than those at SatSignature dot com.
They tell me their vertical polarity on 113W needs service, but their Horizontal on 113W is far lower than I show using only my 36 inch motorized dish and junkbox lnbf, and theirs seems to vary a lot day-to-day.
