D-Link and Boxee have announced the Boxee Box now supports Netflix in Canada.

Boxee Box is a digital media extender made by D-Link which runs Boxee a popular PC, Mac, and Linux media center program that lets users stream TV shows and movies from their computer or the internet to their television.

The device, which sells for $229, was first announced at the CES 2010 and has been available in Canada since last November. The box connects to your television via an HDMI cable and to your network through WiFi (802.11n) or Ethernet. The device also has two USB ports and an SD cart slot for connecting external hard drives or flash memory cards which hold multimedia content.

To stream movies and TV from Netflix to your television, you'll need a valid Netflix Canada subscription and the Boxee Box connected to the internet through your home network.
