Rogers will offer the BlackBerry 10 in early 2013 on its LTE network.

BlackBerry fans who want priority access to smartphones in advance of retail availability should book through the Rogers Reservation System starting Dec. 17th.

"We are excited to offer our customers the opportunity to be among the first in the world to reserve their BlackBerry 10 device... We look forward to adding BlackBerry 10 to the largest selection of LTE devices available in Canada," said John Boynton, executive vice president marketing, chief marketing officer, Rogers Communications.

Current Rogers wireless customers across Canada may reserve a device by visiting under My Account. Further details on BlackBerry 10 pricing , availability and specifications, will be announced in early 2013.

In a separate announcement, RIM said that the new smartphone lineup, including a touchscreen model, will begin beta testing on Dec. 17 at more than 120 US companies, including 64 members of the Fortune 500.

Also, the company has booked Pier 36 in New York City on Jan. 30 to hold an official BlackBerry 10 launch event.
