I have the azbox receiver but need a 2nd receiver for my basement, but the cost of the azbox is quite a bit.

What box do you guys swear by right now in terms of good GUI and ease of use and fast scan?

As a second receiver I love the Fortec Mecury 2. It's got a decent UI and good blindscan. Love the Coolsat 8000HD as well. No blindscan on that box but good motor control, nice UI and the ability to receive OTA ATSC is great too.

You might find these used really cheap, both with blind scan:
